Anne Sunila has studied in the paintings of Wonderland a variety of environments transcending traditional divisions such as urban and natural environments. The working process has shown to her how places and spaces undergo adaptation and motion in the course of time. The process highlighted the temporal mutability and movement of places and spaces. The experience of place is also transformed. French experimental writer Georges Perec (1936–1982) explored spaces through his writing. He proposes that the space around us comprises spatial spaces of some kind, small rather than large. Spaces in our environment have multiplied, been broken up and diversified. He wishes there were permanent places that are unchanging and deeply rooted, places that might be points of reference, of origin. He states that no such places exist and this makes space unstable and incoherent.
