Dimension-Wander 2008–2010

The series of paintings under the title Dimension-Wander were also part of Anne Sunila’s artistic research. She wrote about the process on the occasion of the solo exhibition as follows: “The painter wanders in two cities, Paris and Helsinki. During the process places are selected and restricted and they keep calling out to her. The wanderer exposes herself and does not want to define the direction of her thought. At the same time, she wanders into the realm of a visual language that is taking shape anew.”

The works of art Dimension-Wander are moving alongside with the artist at the city milieu, and the visual and conceptual influences have come not only from Paris but also from Helsinki. She worked for this phase at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris in 2007 and 2009.
