For Anne Sunila the artistic work at a concrete palace plays an important role for the ongoing artistic process. The site offers the artist a close relationship with the environment, a point of view for observation and experience. Her work brings a new perspective to think of the perceptual art of painting. She positions herself as an experiencer and observer in relation to her environment, but not in isolation from it. Perceptual work opens up another dimension between the artist and the object, allowing one to work on what the environment gives or shows one to work on.
